Dr. Cortez-Rucker is a professional educator with twenty-seven years of service to students and parents, including having served as a teacher, vice principal, principal, district communications director and superintendent of schools. Dr. Cortez-Rucker is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. He received his Master of Public School Administration from the University of North Texas, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration from Texas A&M.
